Barry Allen never officially appears in the DCAU series of animated projects by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. However, in the Justice League Unlimited episode "Flash and Substance", the Flash (Wally West) mentions his uncle "flying in" to attend the dedication of a Flash Museum, an obvious reference to Barry. There's also another character on the same episode, who is Wally's teacher at the forensic lab, who bears strange resemblance to Barry himself. The episode also featured the three-break Flash logo, which Barry Allen is known for, alongside Wally's two-break lightning bolt logo.
In part two of the Justice League: Chronicles DVD featurette, the creative team revealed that it was once planned to have a 'Big 7' episode featuring Hawkman, the Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Barry Allen himself. However this didn't pan out. However, they decided to keep Hawkman in the show.
