Superman's first sculpt was repainted all black (including the cape) for the Justice League deluxe boxed figures. The cape, just like Batman's for the series is also painted red under to simulate lining. The figure somewhat recalls Dean Cain's costume as Lord Kal-El in season 4 of Lois and Clark, although that costume did not include a cape.
The figure was never rereleased.
